Joe Milton over at the International Society of Professional Wedding Photographers recently posted a survey on how wedding photographers spend their time.  I find the results to be pretty much dead-on.  View the original post here.

The perception is that we spend most of our time photographing beautiful, happy people in wonderful locations.  The truth is somewhat different.  The survey shows that the time spent shooting photos of all of you beautiful, happy people is unfortunately only a fraction of the work week.  As you might suspect, the lion’s share of our time is spent working on the computer.

All of which, for me, makes the time spent actually photographing so much more enjoyable and fulfilling.

Speaking of spending time in front of a computer, that’s exactly what I did most of this past weekend.  I’m pretty excited about the results of the changes to both this site and my gallery site.

You may also notice that I’ve got a new logo.  It’s the result of several months of work by Elisco Advertising in Lawrenceville.  They were fantastic to work with, and very patient with my endless requests for revisions:)  In the end, I got exactly the logo that I wanted without knowing beforehand what I wanted!

2010 is poised to be our best year ever – I’ve got a great lineup of couples whose weddings I’m really excited about.  Some are at venues I’ve not photographed in before, which is always fun.  I’ve been getting lots of calls and meeting with couples about 2011 weddings, too.

We’re working on some albums for couples from the end of 2009, that are going to be fabulous.  It’s truly gratifying to remain friends with couples from years past.  I love to hear about new jobs, houses, and – most of all – babies.

I’ll be doing my very first wedding show this weekend.  It’s at the Succop Conservancy on Rt. 8 in Butler County on Saturday from 11-3.  Stop on by, it’s a great place just to chill out and walk through the woods.

More changes are on the way soon, so bookmark the site or sign up for the RSS feed for the latest photos and info.
