The results are in for the round 13 of the Fearless Photographers Wedding Photography Awards – and one of my images was selected!
I’m so happy! This image from Katie and Pete’s wedding this summer is one of my favorite photos. It’s a sweet moment between Katie and her mom Mari just before the ceremony. It was just the three of us on the deck of the Pittsburgh Center for the Arts and I felt so honored to have been able to witness such a touching moment between these two wonderful women. I love the way Katie raised her shoulder to receive Mari’s kiss as they held hands. Little things like that say so much. Their feelings for each other are summed up so well in this frame.
I can’t help but get a little emotional every time I look at this photo. I know that they treasure it, too. To have the judges from the toughest wedding photography contest in the world pick it as one of the best is icing on the cake:)
