Convenient Location

It’s so close to Pittsburgh, but a world apart. I’m pretty partial to that part of Western PA because I grew up about 10 minutes away from Succop Nature Park. Maybe that’s why I love the feeling of the place, but I don’t think I’m alone. All of the couples whose Succop Nature Park weddings I’ve photographed over the years were also drawn to the relaxing, secluded atmosphere that comes from the historic property.

One of the ceremony options is on the drive in front of the 1800’s-era Marcraig House.

There’s plenty of space for brides and grooms to both get ready in the house.

You can really make the place your own by adding some of your details to the existing decor. Kind of like a home away from home.

Outdoor Ceremonies

With a lush natural setting beneath an ancient willow tree by the pond, Succop Nature Park weddings are breathtakingly beautiful.

A more shaded location is in front of the house. You can design a ceremony that is meaningful to you – including a tree planting like these folks.

Receptions in the Pavilion

The outdoor pavilion is an open-air room where you can dine and dance during your reception. It’s got plenty of room for a band or a DJ. Medure’s is the caterer and they do a great job.

On summer evenings it stays light until 9pm. The natural light gradually fades away leaving the warm glow of the outdoor lighting.

Such a relaxing atmosphere! You can have a campfire and conversations away from the dance floor.
