Mellon Park Engagement Session
Admit it, the last time that you had your photo taken by a professional photographer was for your high school or college year book. I think that you’ll enjoy this engagement portrait session at Mellon Park.
Lots of couples are a bit nervous about just what goes on during the couple’s portrait session on their wedding day. It’s kind of a mystery, and unlike the rest of the day you’re not involved in an activity like, getting dressed, exchanging vows, or sharing a first dance.
Engagement Sessions are Fun!
Engagement sessions are a great way to get used to having your photo taken and go a long way towards getting you comfortable in front of a camera and with your photographer’s method of working.
That’s why I was very happy when Alexis contacted me to schedule an e-session with her and Andrew. By the end of the session it was obvious they had become very comfortable in front of the camera. I’m looking forward to photographing their wedding next year and am certain that they’ll be ready when the time for portraits comes.
We met at Mellon Park in Shadyside, which was perfect for the photo shoot. It’s a great place with lots of different textures and backgrounds, and the weather was perfect. The late afternoon light was just fantastic!
Portraits Can Be Moments, Too
Typically I don’t offer a lot of direction beyond putting the subject or subjects where I want them with composition and light in mind. I’m really interested in the connection between the couple and love it when they forget about me and enjoy being together. That’s when the best photos happen!
I’ve been shooting quite a few engagement sessions lately, so check back for more photos. Call me to schedule one of your own.
