It’s definitely off-peak season as far as wedding photography goes. Happily, I’ve got a New Years wedding coming up which will be a lot of fun. After that I’m looking forward to photographing Whitney and Jamal’s wedding in the middle of January.
I enjoy photographing a wide range of stories, so something is always going on. With as cold as it’s been lately, these crazy folks decided to go for a swim in the Ohio River in the aptly-named Polar Plunge. It benefitted Special Olympics, so they got cold for a great cause:
Some characters who truly enjoy this cold weather are the African Penguins at the National Aviary on the North Side:
The exhibit is really something special, featuring a wall of glass that the penguins can view the people from as well as a couple of observation windows that enable visitors to get close to the birds.

When I was a kid, we would venture to the Buhl Planetarium to see the train display. (Yeah, I’m old) The Carnegie Science Center now has the trains set up. This little guy got a chance to run some of the Lionel Trains:
I would like to take this opportunity to wish everybody a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. To my Jewish friends, I hope you had a wonderful Hanukkah.
It’s been a wonderful year and I feel so very blessed to have had the chance to get to know some great couples and to share their joy on their wedding days.
