Ashley and Jeff were married over Memorial Day weekend – a fitting time as Jeff is a U.S. Army veteran. It was a fun and beautiful day filled with emotion. I really enjoyed the day.
I started the day with Ashley and the girls at the Pageboy Salon in Lawrenceville – where there was lots of hairspray 😀
Jasmine Goldband joined the team for the day. She was with the guys:
Ashley and the girls got ready at the Holiday Inn in Oakland, near Soldiers and Sailors.

But perfection takes time:
Worth the wait, wouldn’t you say?
The ceremony was held at Ashley’s family parish, St. Michael the Archangel Orthodox Church in Rankin.

It was great to be in the air-conditioned comfort of a gigantic limousine bus as we went to Schenley Park for some portraits:
Ashley was stunning!

It being Memorial Day weekend and with so many veterans in the audience, the choice of Soldiers and Sailors Memorial Hall as their venue was particularly poignant. Jeff’s mom read a description of the symbolism of each of the items on the Fallen Warrior’s Table, which was placed on the stage in honor of the service of all veterans.
Here’s a photo of Jeff with then-president George W. Bush that was taken when Jeff was recovering from wounds he received during his service in Iraq:
It was a powerful reminder of the sacrifices that our service men and women make to ensure our safety.

After it cooled down we went back outside for some portraits. We had a great engagement portrait session last fall, so Ashley and Jeff were ready to go:
I kind of got the feeling that it was pre-ordained who would get the bouquet and garter:

Finally, I’d like to give a shout out to my buddy Art Cohen, whose All the Best Catering did a great job with dinner.
I’d been looking forward to this wedding for a long time and was so delighted to have the opportunity to tell the story. Thanks!
