I’ve just finished editing the photos from Katie and Jake’s wedding at Green Oaks Country Club in Verona last weekend. There are so many great pictures to choose from, but here are a few of my favorites from the day:
As you can see, the weather was just fantastic. The light was beautiful. Credit goes to Jake for making a thorough reconnaissance of the area when deciding where to hold the ceremony. We spoke about it as the couple made their plans, and I told them that I’d prefer to have the sun behind them so that the light on their faces would be more even. The sun popped in and out from between the clouds which made things interesting.
After the ceremony and group formals, we headed up to a part of the golf course overlooking the Allegheny River. When we arrived there were at least 30 huge Turkey Vultures congregating on the fairway. It was a pretty unusual sight to see so many of these birds in one place. They took off as we arrived, soaring high above us. You can see some of them in the sky above Katie and Jake. Of course I could always photoshop the birds out of the picture to give a clean look to the blue sky.
And here it is sans vultures!
After our photo shoot we hurried down to the clubhouse for the reception. The golf cart race was fun!
The couple are performers, so when the spirit moved her Katie cut loose and sang along with the music.
Thanks again Katie and Jake!
