Mansion at Maple Heights Wedding
Here’s an amazing Mansion at Maple Heights Wedding! Metra and Al held their wedding at the beautiful Mansion at Maple Heights in Shadyside. These two folks really know how to throw a party – the day was filled with love, friendship and energy. To say they did things big would be an understatement: The party was incredible, the decor from Mosaic and All Occasions Party Rental was beautiful, the food from Big Catering was fantastic, Bill Chisnell Productions did a wonderful job with the flowers, DJ Nate Da Phat Barber had the dance floor filled, and grammy-winning singer Chrisette Michelle performed an after-dinner set!
Here are some of my favorite photos from the day.
Getting Ready
The walls of the mansion were filled with enormous portraits of the couple and their kids.
Metra and Al’s lovely daughters.
Metra watches out the window as their guests arrive.
Al went to check on the progress of the valet parking.

The Ceremony
A classical quintet played for the ceremony inside of the tent.
Innkeeper and former center for the Pittsburgh Steelers, Chukky Okobi gives Metra a pep talk before she heads down the aisle.
Metra’s brother walked her down the aisle.
Metra gave Al’s daughter a bracelet and Al gave Metra’s daughter a bracelet as part of the ceremony. It was a beautiful way to include the kids in the ceremony. After all, a wedding is about bringing two families together.
Al broke into an impromptu song as the string quintet played during the ceremony.
An Amazing Party
After the ceremony, the tent was turned into a lounge for the guests.
Before dinner, we headed over to Mellon Park for some portraits.
There was a lot of great food for dinner and dessert.
Metra and Al make their entrance into the reception tent.
Floor-to-ceiling mirrors lined the walls inside of the reception tent.
Chrisette Michelle is simply amazing.
Some of Metra and Al’s family and friends joined her on stage.
Then she sang a special song for Al’s mom. Such a sweet moment.
Metra is escorted down to the after dinner dance party by Tim Komen. Hats off to Tim for putting together a great event.
DJ Nate is a very nice guy, and I’m not just saying that because he has fantastic taste in neckwear. He’s terrific to work with!
Phil Pavely worked with me for the event. He shot a lot of great photos, but this one is my favorite.
Thanks again to Metra and Al for allowing me to photograph such a big event. Thanks also to my friends Jasmine, Caroline, and Maureen for manning the photo booth. They shot, printed, and framed a ton of photos as a remembrance for Al and Metra’s guests.
If you liked these photos then here’s another fabulous Mansion at Maple Heights wedding that you’ll love. It’s a very different use of the space which shows how versatile this place is for events.
