OK, so after a busy fall I’m a little behind in posting weddings to the website. But with the snow piling up outside, it’s awfully nice to be transported back to late August as I sit here remembering just how wonderful the day was when Amanda and Doug had their wedding at Chanteclaire Farm near Deep Creek Lake in Maryland.
Since we live in different cities, the wedding day was the first time we’d met in person. Within moments Amanda, her parents and her friends made me feel like an old friend. Caroline, who was with Doug and his best man Matt, said it was the same experience for her. It was a warm, happy and friendly atmosphere that August day. Here are some of my favorite photos:
Amanda’s niece Hailey was excited:
This was a good indication that the rest of the day was going to be lots of fun. Amanda with Doug’s cousin Olivia:

Amanda and Doug worked hard putting together the look of the wedding. Here are some details:

Doug and Amanda didn’t have a first dance. Instead Doug danced with his mom Margaret and Amanda danced with her dad Vince:
The farm is a great place for kids to run wild!
Tyler got out of the fancy clothes as fast as he could:
This is the last post for 2012, but I’ve got plenty of weddings left from the fall that I’ll be showcasing over the winter months. 2012 was full of adventures. To my couples – I’m very grateful to have been able to share in the beauty, love, and both the trying and happy moments that were all a part of it. We’ve got two more weddings this coming week and then it’s on to 2013!
