Sacred Heart Church Wedding
Kristin and Tom’s Sacred Heart Church Wedding was followed by their Phipps Conservatory Reception.
Kristin and Tom’s wedding was an elegant reflection of their refined sense of style, taste in art and love of family. This was evident in their choice of venues: Everybody got ready for the day at the fantastic Mansions on Fifth in Shadyside.
Getting Ready at the Mansions on Fifth
Kristin and her mom Pat share a moment as Kristin puts her dress on. Pat made the dress for her own wedding and was thrilled to see Kristin wear it for her wedding.
Meanwhile down the hall, Tom is reflected in a mirror as he buttons up his vest (Lisa’s photo).
Kristin wore this terrific headpiece that perfectly complimented the dress!
Tom hands over the custom-designed wedding bands to his best man Paul (Lisa’s photo).
Sacred Heart Church Wedding Ceremony
Kristin’s long veil trails behind as her dad Randy walks her down the aisle at Sacred Heart Church in Shadyside.
Father John Riccardo, the priest from Tom’s family’s parish in Detroit, made the trip to Pittsburgh to celebrate the wedding ceremony.
Tom makes a romantic gesture as he walks with Kristin after the ceremony. How about that shaft of light coming through the window at just the right spot? Sometimes it’s better to be lucky than good 😊
Tom’s sister Jennifer congratulates the couple just after the ceremony.
The east end of Pittsburgh offers a number of beautiful spots for portraits, so we didn’t have to go too far. This photo was takin in the open shade of the Sycamore trees in front of the Carnegie Library in Oakland.
Reception at Phipps Conservatory
Above all, Kristin and Tom’s attention to detail showed in the wedding bands, Kristin’s Jimmy Choo’s, a fantastic cake, and the Special Events Hall at Phipps Conservatory. Kristin and Tom each painted a panel that was hung on the east wall of the room – they’re both talented artists. Their design was carried over to the boxes of treats that they gave to their guests.
First up, Kristin and Tom shared their first dance.
Next is a photo of the first dance from my angle. Because sometimes two photographers are better than one!
Randy cracked up Kristin and her sister Nicole during his toast.
Pat looked fabulous as the sun was setting outside the wall of windows in the Special Events Hall.
Dancing Photos
Next, Kristin and Randy shared their father/daughter dance.
Followed by Tom and his mom.
Elaina the flower girl ruled the dance floor!
Lisa took the next two photos.
The light caught the smoke from the guest’s cigar just right.
