I love weddings at Phipps Conservatory.  Even though they share the same space, each event seems to be particularly unique.  The fact that it’s an environment that is alive and growing probably has a lot to do with it, but each couple adds their own personality to the mix and that makes the difference.

So it was with Amanda and Rob’s wedding.  A good indicator of  their creative and loving they are with each other is how Rob proposed to Amanda.  He told Amanda that he would like to read her a bedtime story.  So out comes this book that he wrote and illustrated which chronicled their relationship to that point.  It’s easy to guess how it ends – she said yes:)

The couple wrote letters to one another and sealed them in a box with a bottle of wine.  It’s to be opened on their 1st anniversary.  I think that’s a great idea – so much better than freezing the top of your wedding cake.  My wife and I did that and let me tell you it tasted MUCH better when it was fresh.
