Christy and Scott are Western PA kids who have moved away to Florida. Like many young people who move away, Pittsburgh remains close to their hearts. They were married at Christy’s family’s parish, Holy Redeemer Church in Ellwood City, and had their reception at the Marriott Pittsburgh North in Cranberry Township. It was a wonderful celebration filled with the love of family and friends from near and far. Here are some of my favorite photos from the day:
Christy left for the ceremony in a huge Hummer stretch limo. It’s a pretty impressive vehicle, but it must be really hard to parallel park:
Scott was all smiles as he stood in the foyer at Holy Redeemer Church to greet their guests:
The ring bearer, Scott’s nephew Nathan, was ready to go. As soon as he was let loose he sprinted down the aisle:
Christy and her dad Richard before walking down the aisle:
Father Mark Thomas was the celebrant. He’s a very nice guy:
A private moment after the ceremony:
Nathan was still running, even during the formals:
The day was incredibly windy – poor Caroline struggled to hold my reflector. The groomsmen were ready to catch her if she blew away:
I’ve been to a lot of weddings with cookie tables. I’ve been to a lot of weddings that had great cookie tables. Christy and Scott’s wedding was beyond anything that I’ve ever seen – there were 6 cookie tables! The cookies were all home made, too.

I loved the look on Scott’s dad Dan’s face (below) as he watched Scott dance with his mom Helen (above):
