Maggie and I had been talking for a while about ideas on where to shoot her and Micah’s engagement session. Originally we thought about the golf course where they met, but eventually – and I give Micah credit here – the idea of doing it at Allegheny County Airport was decided on. In case you’ve never been there, the Allegheny County Airport terminal was built in the early 1930’s in the art deco style and is like a doorway back to a more elegant era of air travel.
Micah is an airline pilot and flight instructor so they brought up a very cool vintage 1961 Cessna 210 for the photo shoot. Micah let me take the controls and fly down to Rostraver Airport where we took a few photos before he flew us back to Allegheny County Airport. I had a blast!
As pretty as the aircraft was, it played second fiddle to Maggie who is absolutely radiant with her upbeat personality:

I’m looking forward to their wedding this fall at Chanteclaire Farm near Deep Creek Lake in Maryland!
