Montour Heights Country Club Wedding
Melissa and Eric’s Montour Heights Country Club wedding was such a fun and memorable event. I’ve had photos from their wedding on my website for a long time but somehow have never gotten around to doing a post. Consequently, I’m now correcting that oversight 😊
Getting Ready
Melissa and her girls wore these amazing hot pink dressing gowns while they got ready. The light that day was really on point!
Eric and his groomsmen spent hours playing the classic Nintendo 64 game GoldenEye. Eric brought it along so that they could get a few games in before the wedding. Also, his gift to the guys were these GoldenEye-inspired cufflinks. 007 would be proud.
These guys were so much fun!
Meanwhile, Melissa got dressed in her room downstairs.
I love looking at these photos of Melissa. She’s so beautiful.
Ceremony at Saint Columbkille
I’m always looking for different ways of seeing things. Sometimes that means turning my camera upside down like I did when I saw Melissa and her mom reflected in the roof of the limousine.
Melissa and her dad have a fun moment waiting to walk down the aisle.
St. Columbkille Parish in Imperial is filled with lovely natural light.
Melissa and Eric embrace at the front of the church.
These two have so much fun together. Even though they’re quite young, they were high school sweethearts and have been together for years.
Whenever possible I try to ride with the wedding party to and from the church and reception venue. As a result, I’m able to make photos that advance the story by showing transition between parts of the day. Also, there’s an opportunity to photograph the quiet moments that say so much about how the couple feels about each other.
Reception at Montour Heights Country Club
The guests were enjoying cocktail hour inside. Meanwhile, we had an absolutely perfect afternoon for portraits. High clouds filtered the sun which softened the light without looking gloomy. It was wonderful!
Such a lovely moment between these two!
Details from the Montour Heights Country Club wedding include candles, a three-tiered cake, and Melissa’s bouquet.
Melissa and Eric share their first dance.
Next, they invited all married couples to join them for the anniversary dance.
Melissa and her dad danced together. Rachel from Entwined Cinema can be seen in the background. She made a lovely film of Melissa and Eric’s wedding.
Next, Eric danced with his mom. There’s definitely a special bond between them.
I could never get a straight answer about the chainmail armor that the groomsmen wore during the reception. But it was funny!
The dance floor was such a fun place to be!
We got to that part of the evening where ties came undone, shirttails came out and songs were sung!
So there you have it. At long last: Melissa and Eric’s Montour Heights Country Club wedding. It was worth the wait, right? Here’s another great wedding that you’ll enjoy.
