The Pittsburgh Marathon passed right by my office in the West End last Sunday.  It’s a great neighborhood and the race offered an opportunity to show off a little bit.

I showed up around 6:30 in the morning and things were already rocking – literally!  The Elite Show Band was performing on the stage set up in the middle of South Main Street right in front of my building:

The kids from the Pittsburgh Musical Theater’s Xtreme Broadway Program have way more energy than most teenagers do at 7am!

My pals from The Cozy Cafe – one of my favorite spots for breakfast and lunch:

The leaders came through in a hurry.  I’m a runner, but the pace these guys set is like my sprint – only for 24 miles!

The Brashear High School Dance Team cheered on the runners as they made the turn from Steuben St.

It was fantastic to see the crowds lining South Main Street to cheer the runners on!
