Late Spring Wedding at Latrobe Country Club
Jayme and Joe had a brunch wedding at the beautiful Latrobe Country Club. If you know me then you know how much I love brunch. Eggs Benedict with crab meat? Yes, please!
Getting Ready
Jayme and Joe had a small wedding party. Just a best man and maid of honor. But she and a bunch of the ladies got ready together at the Deacon’s View guest house near the entrance to Latrobe Country Club. As always, Emily Myers Beauty handled things wonderfully!
A toast with champagne and mimosas before getting the dresses on!
Jayme hand-embroidered monogrammed shirts for each of the ladies.
Jayme’s friend Ly puts a memento from Jayme’s grandmother on the ribbon of the bouquet. Florals by Twig and Vine.
Some details from the wedding.
Jayme reads a card from Joe before getting her dress on. He’s a very thoughtful guy.
Jayme’s mom Jody helps her to get ready under Arnie’s watchful eye. Seriously, if you’re into golf this place is like a museum filled with memorabilia.
Grandma Joan gets a little emotional when she sees Jayme.
Wedding Ceremony
Jayme waits to enter St. Cecelia Church with Phoebe, her maid of honor.
Jayme’s dad Jeff walks her down the aisle. Joe watches with a tear running down his cheek.
The handoff. I love to see dads get emotional. Don’t you?
Married!
Jayme shares a laugh after the ceremony with her friends.
Wedding Reception at Latrobe Country Club
While guests enjoyed cocktails (Arnold Palmers!) we did some portraits around the course.
After a few portraits it was on to the reception.
A pretty amazing cookie table filled with homemade treats. Jayme spent months collecting the vintage plates for the table.
Jayme made a quick outfit change before making an entrance into the reception.
First dance.
Toasts by the best man and maid of honor followed the first dance.
A table filled with photos of the couple’s siblings, parents, grand parents and great grandparents. A table like this is a lovely tribute and a great way to remember who came before and how we got here. As a wedding photographer I love the idea that my photos will be included on tables like this decades in the future. Print your pictures!! Alex Robba Cake did a beautiful job.
Jayme’s dad Jeff (lots of J-names in that family!) was a little bit emotional after giving a heartfelt greeting to the guests and dancing with his daughter.
Joe’s mom Erin embraces him during their dance.
That cake was almost too pretty to cut, but I’m glad they did because it was delicious!
Portraits Following the Wedding
After brunch Jayme and Joe left the reception on a golf cart. The Deacon’s View is a short drive just past the second tee box. I met them there for portraits a few minutes later.
So if you’re planning your wedding and are considering a brunch reception then I encourage you to give it some serious thought. Here’s a link to another one I photographed. And one I shot in Washington, D.C. Thanks for taking a look at this Spring Wedding at Latrobe Country Club. I’ve been really busy but I’ve promised myself that I’m going to update my website more often. I have a bunch of wonderful weddings that I plan on sharing, so stay tuned.
