Kate and Drew’s wedding was on a beautiful spring day in Pittsburgh – just look at the blue skies in the photo below!
While I’ve done many weddings at The Renaissance Hotel in Pittsburgh, this was my first time photographing a wedding at St. Paul Cathedral. So we got the best of both downtown and Oakland. All of that is great, but what’s really important is the couple and the loved ones around them on their wedding day. This was a very good wedding day in every sense – I truly appreciated Kate and Drew’s kindness and the warm, welcoming attitude of their families and friends.
So here are some of my favorite photos from the day:
Kate had her hair and makeup done in the August Wilson Room. It was open, airy and filled with great light:
Kate got Drew a guitar as a wedding present. Pretty nice! (photo by Lisa):
Kate’s dad Peter gives her a kiss before leaving for the church:
Kate waits in the narthex of the cathedral as the wedding party begins their walk down the aisle. I won an award for this one 🙂
Peter and Kate walk down the aisle as Drew waits by the altar. St. Paul has a spectacular interior:
Drew gets the thumbs up from Peter:
As we got the families together for formals, I saw this moment with Kate’s grandmother. It’s a beautiful moment with three generations of women:
Photos like this make me happy because they remind me that spring is coming:
I was so happy to receive a Christmas card from Kate and Drew with this photo on it. I love it when couples find different ways to enjoy their photos:
I don’t know who suggested it, but it seemed like a good idea for the girls to pick Drew up. I guess he’s a lot heavier than he looks:
A couple of my favorite detail shots from the day:
Kate and Drew share a private moment in the Symphony Ballroom before their guests entered the room (photo by Lisa):
He deserved it:
Next three photos by Lisa:
Kate and her sister Alexis on the dance floor:
It got kind of steamy with all of that dancing going on:

What a great St. Paul Cathedral and Renaissance Hotel wedding. Thanks folks!
