Green Gables Wedding Photography in Jennerstown
Green Gables Wedding Photography in Jennerstown: Stacy and Noah have a great story of how they met. It was at a summer camp in the Pocono Mountains where Stacy was the camp nurse and Noah was a counselor. Noah had a medical condition which piqued Stacy’s interest. Eventually, that initial interest in Noah’s biology led to their discovery that they have great chemistry together.
Personal Touches
Their wedding was a real reflection of their personalities and interests. They put a lot of thought and effort into bringing their vision to reality – from typing each individual invitation to making jam as a favor for their guests. It was a great pleasure to photograph such a fresh and personal event. Let’s look at some photos.
Getting Ready
Stacy gets ready with her mom and sisters.
Noah checks the sound for the ceremony with his friend Chris (Caroline’s photo).
Noah has a large collection of typewriters that he’s fixed up. They typed out their invitations on these old machines. Guests were encouraged to use them to type a message to the couple.
The Ceremony
Stacy and Noah have a word before the ceremony.
Noah’s mom Nancy gives Noah a hug after walking him down the aisle (Caroline’s photo).
Stacy’s dad Allan gives her a kiss at the end of the aisle.
Noah’s sister Sarah and his mom Nancy were taken with emotion.
Stacy and Noah held a self-uniting ceremony, also known as a Quaker Wedding, which requires no officiant. Their friend Chris acted as master of ceremonies.
The weather had been threatening rain all day long and it finally came during the ceremony. The staff at Green Gables passed out umbrellas to the guests and the wedding ceremony carried on. Yay!
Stacy signs the self-uniting document while Noah’s mom Nancy (left) and Stacy’s mom Sue (right) served as witnesses.
Noah’s dad Ira held an umbrella for the couple as they embraced at the end of the ceremony.
Noah’s uncle Danny welcomed Stacy into the family with a hug.
Carving Pumpkins
Stacy and Noah bought a pallet of pumpkins that weighed hundreds of pounds. They brought them to Green Gables where they first served as decorations during the ceremony and then their guests carved them.
A Talent Show
Instead of dancing, the reception featured a talent show. Stacy and Noah kicked it off with a piano and clarinet duet of “You Are My Sunshine.”
Their guests were a talented bunch! Their friend Daniel sang.
Noah’s uncle Ian played a beautiful medley of songs on his 12-string guitar.
Noah’s sister Sarah and her husband Jason brought down the house with an interpretive dance performance of Stacy and Noah’s courtship. It helped that they both were professional dancers.
Stacy’s dad Allan gave a toast.
Danny Bakan and the Nephfolk performed 84,000 Ways on Guitar, toe cymbal and kazoo.
As an example of the broad range of performances, the couple’s friend Kat did a hula hoop dance.
Thanks again. A Green Gables Wedding always seems to be unique and very fun affair. It really is a lovely place in a beautiful part of Pennsylvania.
Stacy and Noah’s album turned out beautifully. Check it out here.
