It was a chilly, rainy day in September when we started for Tara and Steve’s wedding. Spirits were high even though the weather wasn’t great at the beginning of the day, but the clouds broke and glorious glorious sunshine appeared just as Tara and Steve walked out of Our Lady of Victory in Harwick.
Joining me this day was another long-time colleague, Phil Pavely. It’s a real pleasure to work with Phil – he’s a terrific photographer. We’ve known each other for an awfully long time and there’s very little in the way of verbal communication needed when covering an event together. Usually just a nod or a finger point is enough for each of us to know what the other is up to and what needs to be done.
Looking over these photos again, I’m reminded just how much Tara and Steve love to laugh. It was a real joy to share their wedding day with them.
Here are some of my favorite photos from the day:
Tara’s mom helps her put her jewelry on:
Tara was just a little bit nervous before she walked down the aisle:

We took the party bus over to Squaw Valley Park in O’Hara Township for some portraits:

Tara and Steve made a triumphant entrance into the Syria Shrine!
Tara and Steve met when she caught the bouquet and he caught the garter at the wedding of Steve’s best man. Isn’t it funny how these things work out? 🙂

Then all of the couples were invited to join them on the dance floor:

Tara and Steve got a beautiful 10×10 album with matching parents albums. You can see them about 1/2 way down on this page.
