Wedding Photography at the Andy Warhol Museum in Pittsburgh: 2011 has been a fantastic year, and Whitney and Chris’ wedding at the Andy Warhol Museum was a great way to close out the season!

Getting Ready at the Fairmont

Whitney got ready for the day at the Fairmont Hotel in downtown Pittsburgh.

When I arrived, Whitney had her favorite movie on the television – “Pee-Wee’s Big Adventure” – to provide the proper ambiance as she had her makeup done and put her dress on.  To me, any day that includes Pee-Wee Herman in it is a brighter day!

Jennifer Palermo did a terrific job on Polly and Whitney’s makeup.  She made two lovely ladies look even more beautiful.

A portrait of Chris by Caroline.  He’s very kind and unfailingly polite.  Caroline described him as being “chivalrous”

Whitney’s Sottero and Midgley gown was pretty complicated to lace up, but the girls figured it out with the help of a video that Whitney made.

Portraits

Since it gets dark so early in December, we did some portraits around town before heading to the ceremony.  This one is in the lobby of the Fairmont.

Whitney and Chris used to live on the South Side, so the Hot Metal Bridge was on their list of photo spots.  It was very cold, but Whitney had a vintage stole to keep her warm.

Portraits at The Warhol

The Warhol is full of cool places for portraits.

The first dance was to Otis Redding’s classic, “These Arms of Mine” – one of my favorite songs.
