Mansion at Maple Heights Wedding
Kelly and Phil really went all out in realizing their vision of a 1920’s-look and feel to their wedding. This Mansion at Maple Heights wedding took place well before the Great Gatsby movie came out. Kelly is a talented artist and she enlisted the help of her friends in coming up with much of the decor from the paper flowers all the way to the fonts used on the signs and menu cards. What really made this wedding special was the spirit of celebration that everybody shared in. Wait until you scroll down to the dancing photos!
Preparing for the Day
Kelly’s bridesmaids help her get dressed.
…and help get the party started.
Kelly looked simply gorgeous.
Phil was dashing, too.
Ceremony in the Main Hall
The ceremony was held in the main hallway of the mansion (photo by Lisa).
A reading by Kelly and Phil’s friend Leigh.
The bridal party, except for the maid of honor and best woman, lined up on the stairs.
Celebrating With Friends
A toast.
Followed by some portraits outside.
Incredibly Detailed Details
Even more evidence of their hard work (photos by Lisa). The paper flowers were the result of many nights of crafting. It’s good to have friends if you’re going to attempt something on this scale. Those moon cookies were so cool!
Party Time!
Kelly and Phil are announced into the reception!
First dance.
Next, Phil danced with his sister Lara while Kelly danced with her dad Alan.
Kelly’s sister Holly was maid of honor. She cracked everybody up with her speech.
Certainly a lot of sisterly love between Kelly and Holly!
While Kelly and Phil listened, Lara might have mentioned something about the Chicago Blackhawks during her speech.
Beautiful light + beautiful bride = Beautiful portrait 😄
Seems like the perfect spot for Kelly and Phil to have their photo taken (photo by Lisa).
Meanwhile, the dancing was pretty intense.
This guy got some serious air!
This guy was awesome!
Then came the last dance.
I loved this wedding and I hope that you did, too. Be sure to check this one out, too: Amy and Eric.
