Chanteclaire Farm Wedding in Deep Creek Maryland

We traveled to Maggie and Micah’s Chanteclaire Farm Wedding in Deep Creek Maryland earlier this fall.  It was a perfect day to be in Western Maryland – the leaves were at their peak and the sunlight was golden.  Maggie was so excited for the wedding day – she’s not one to hide her emotions – that she and Micah have been planning for a long time.  I had a great time photographing them during their engagement session this past summer, so I was really looking forward to the wedding, too.

The ceremony and reception were at Chanteclaire Farm.  It’s such a nice place!  Both the upstairs and downstairs of the barn were decorated with care in a vintage travel theme.  Guests were able to mingle on the large deck overlooking the pond and on the well-kept grounds.

Here are some of my favorite photos from the day:

Getting Ready

Maggie got ready at a cabin on the lake.

Maggie’s mom Barbara helps her with her hair.

Harper, the flower girl, tries Maggie’s garter on for size.

Making adjustments.

An Outdoor Wedding Ceremony

The newlyweds danced all the way down the aisle.

The Reception

West Virginia University fans.

Micah’s brother Jeremy was the best man.

A unique way to toss the bouquet.

She might be small, but she’s powerful!

The groomsmen owned the dance floor.

Thanks very much, Maggie and Micah!  (Micah – Please send me your mom’s sweet potato recipe)

UPDATE: Micah sent me the recipe. It has become a holiday staple in our family. Get in touch if you’d like me to share it with you.
